VMC is committed to integrity in its handling of financial resources. We see ourselves as stewards of such resources and desire to be transparent in accounting for all receipts and disbursements of funds. Spending of funds received by VMC is confined to the board-approved operating budget and programs. All designated gifts are used as designated with the understanding that when the need giving rise to the designation is met, such funds will be used where needed most.
VMC is a Registered Charity and our financial records and systems are subject to an external audit performed each year by an independent firm of Chartered Accountants. The financial statements are posted on the VMC Website and are available on request. In addition, we subscribe to the Seal of Financial Accountability as members of the Canadian Council of Christian Charities (CCCC) and are subject to their requirements and recommendations pursuant to their annual review.
